Cabinet Office to look at Safety Advisory Group Guidance

17 Dec
2024

The Emergency Planning College (the EPC) have announced that they will be working with other key regulators, the emergency services, and the Government to review the guidance provided to Safety Advisory Groups (SAG).

The review is being led by the Cabinet Office. At this stage, this is only an internal review with other key stakeholders such as Licensing Authorities and event organisers expected to be consulted in due course.

SAGs provide a forum for discussing and advising on public safety at events. They are normally coordinated and chaired by the Local Authority within which the event is due to take place.

Are you planning an event in 2025 or beyond? Get in touch with one of John Gaunt & Partners specialist licensing solicitors who can help you navigate the application and SAG processes.
